Wixroyd have enjoyed a period of sustained growth and required additional premises to meet the continued upturn in their order book. They chose the largest building on a new light industrial development in Cranleigh. Our brief was to create administration offices with a facility for testing and packing of products.
We designed and installed a new mezzanine floor with a circular front section to match the building's foot print to construct the offices upon, which comprised three individual areas and a main open plan office. New windows were formed to the upper section of the building. 3-phase power supplies were installed in the ground floor area to supply new Kardex storage and retrieval systems. VRV air conditioning systems were installed throughout the offices to provide both cooling and heating and a Quartz heating system was installed in the test area to provide efficient occupancy heating. The works also included the forming of new toilets, showers, and kitchen and tea points. New power and data circuits were introduced to accommodate the planned occupancy levels with room for expansion. New fire detection and intruder alarms along with a door access system provided the security and life safety systems. Finally, to help manage the office filing and archive storage we fitted full height storage bay systems.
