SEW Eurodrive is the recognised market leader of drive engineering, stretching across all five continents and employing over 10,000 people. Needing to expand and create a Service Centre in the south of England, they chose a brand new purpose built light industrial unit totalling 6,848 sq ft to operate as a Test and R&D facility on the ever popular commercial development in Aldermaston, namely Easter Park.
SEW instructed us to carry out the complete fit out of their new premises after our designs and proposal were selected. The brief was to create 1st and 2nd floor open plan offices and modular meeting rooms with audio visual facilities for up to 10 people per floor, each floor having a separate beverage area.
The ground floor incorporated a test bench facility with full perimeter workbenches and the warehouse area benefited from new high bay lighting and a gas powered ceiling mounted, space heater. The works also included partitioning to create the offices and modular meeting rooms, new power and lighting circuits, new data networks, heating, new suspended ceilings, anti static flooring (in test area) and decorations. A new fire alarm system and an electronic access control system completed the works.
