In order to get the best out of their operations, many a business will choose to totally overhaul their existing office interiors or failing that, move to new ones completely. Sometimes, however, only a few changes maybe all that is required to establish their ideal working space, as our latest project shows. At the moment, we are undertaking a new office design in Middlesex for Military Medical Personnel at their existing space at Concord House in Hampton Hill.

Who are Military Medical Personnel? Why were they seeking a new office design in Middlesex?

Military Medical Personnel (MMP) are a specialist recruitment consultancy that is dedicated to providing civilian medical and dental staff to the Ministry of Defence.

The company believe that successful recruitment is built on strong relationships. Therefore, understanding the needs of their candidates is key. Knowing exactly what their clients are looking for is vital in ensuring that they not only excel as a recruitment company but also as a service provider too. Their consultants have a wealth of experience in helping civilian medical professionals to find work in the military.

They were seeking a new office design at their Middlesex base simply to make some changes and general improvements to the layout of the office. They recognised that in order to give their dedicated workforce the opportunity to deliver a better service to their clients, the office space must be able to respond to how they work; rather than them,changing how they work around the limitations of the office.

The office fit out project brief

MMP found our office design services through the web; our site providing them with all of the confidence they needed to make an enquiry. Through our on-site content, they learned how we could help them to get the most from their office space.

After they made the enquiry, our business development team approached the appropriate member of staff at MMP to understand their requirements. In quick time, we learned that they were considering some office changes and general improvements to create a better working environment for their staff.

After noting this information down and doing our own research on the business, we quickly responded by providing various alternative floor plans to show what could be achieved with their new office design in Middlesex. This was typified by the introduction of new bench-style desk; helping to group teams together in close proximity, such pieces were important to encourage collaboration and to promote a positive connection within the workplace.

We are currently on site carrying out the changes needed to the power & data installations along with the introduction of new LED lighting. This will soon be followed by the installation of new ergonomic office furniture that will give staff the opportunity to choose their ideal levels of comfort.

Everything will abide by that key adage of the office space should be working with the capabilities of the employee, rather than the employee having to workaround the limitations of the office space and everything within it.

Practical Completion for this project is due by mid-June.
