Who are Contractormarket.com? Why were they seeking a new office design in Wokingham?

Founded in early 2018, Contractormarket.com is a price comparison website that is dedicated to helping contractors find the best deals on umbrella companies and accountants. With a depth of collective industry experience, the service offered by their staff is focused solely on contracting; mining all the latest information available and comparing hundreds of PAYE umbrella companies to find the best deals, helping their clients to make the best informed decisions.

The company identified a suitable office space located on Molly Millars Lane, just half-a-mile away from Wokingham Town Centre; ideally located to attract clients and future talented employees.

Contractormarket.com understood the need to create interiors that are able to both appeal to their clients and to assist their workforce in their day-to-day duties. Being a new start-up, small margins will obviously be important and great office design can so often be the difference in ensuring those margins are filled.

This is precisely why they got in touch with us to carry out a survey of their new 2,100sqft office and to discuss their project brief. The scope of works they required included:

  • Partitioning of working areas.
  • New flooring throughout.
  • Relocation of the air conditioning system, as well as an installation of an additional unit.
  • New kitchen, tea point and collaborative breakout area.
  • New boardroom.
  • Lighting for the LED panels to be changed.
  • New data installation.
  • Brand new furniture throughout the whole office.

Our office fit out solution

Having taken the brief presented to us, our design and build teams worked quickly to produce a solution that filled all of the company’s requirements. Firstly, we modified and adjusted the existing power infrastructure and even extended it where required. We then created an open office design that would cater for collaboration but we also recognised the need for the quieter moments at work, which is why we created soundproofing within the boardroom.

Concerning the furniture, we supplied and installed a completely new infrastructure throughout the office, including the installation of a new kitchen complete with a feature breakfast bar, all with Corian worktops. The open plan office space is surrounded by a myriad of company branded colours and graphics; graphics that lead to the tea point and breakout area in which employees are able to relax and de-stress away from the often-stressful atmosphere of the working arena. Feeling refreshed and content, they’ll no doubt return ready to tackle the work ahead, helping greatly with their productivity rate.

We are delighted to say that the project was carried out to the letter and Contractormarket.com were thrilled with the finished product. They can now look forward to settling into their new office design and hopefully now, a bright and successful future ahead.
