We are extremely pleased to announce that work has recently commenced on Phase Two of Tusker Direct's newoffice design, based at Croxley Green Business Park, in Watford. Phase One of the project was completed in September 2016, which gave this ever-growing company some much-needed expansion space. This first phase also included the fit out of a number of new meeting rooms, a boardroom, a temporary reception area and a break out area, for staff to hold informal meetings and to share ideas. With Phase Two involving a similar style of refurbishment and with a forthcoming Phase Three on the way, we are very much looking forward to completing this challenge and presenting Tusker with their perfect office environment.

The company recently took part in the Mannequin Challenge in order to raise money for the annual Children in Need appeal; a video of this can be found below. Taking the internet by storm in recent months, the Mannequin Challenge has been popularised in mainstream culture, with the likes of Hilary Clinton, the England Football team, even the entire X Factor audience taking the time to participate in the challenge. Using the challenges' popularity to raise money for charity, Tusker filmed their own Mannequin Challenge video in the recently completed Oaktree-designed office. This brilliantly shot video sums up the atmosphere and teamwork present at the company, as all the staff at Tusker made a great effort on behalf of this great cause. Feel free to have a look, as aside from the brilliant scenes created by the staff; the video displays the bespoke office design that has helped the staff to comfortably settle into their new environment.
Having originally outgrown their old premises, Phase One of the project saw the relocation of 80 staff into a new ground-floor office suite. We worked with Tusker to ensure that the design they wanted was carried out to the letter. As an example, their aim was to create an area to allow employees and visitors alike to make telephone calls in private. Understanding the company's branding and philosophy, we came up with a simple, yet retro idea of installing traditional red telephone boxes, which provided the perfect balance between functionality, whilst also creating a focal point within the office space.
Phase Two of Tusker's new matching office design will see the remaining members of staff relocate to the adjoining suite, offering them an additional 7,000sqft of office and meeting space. Once completed, we will start work on Phase Three of the project, which will involve the two suites being linked together, providing staff with an easy accessed, collaborative working environment. Further work will involve the creation of a dedicated main reception, meeting rooms and further break out facilities that connect with the suite designed during Phase One of the project.
The entire project has required meticulous planning with the client in order to ensure that there will be minimal disruption caused to the business' operation during the transition. In order to plan (and carry out) a successful multi-phased project, we have to be able to ensure continuity, especially with critical aspects such as the business's IT requirements needing to be integrated swiftly and without issue. Once the project is completed, Tusker will be left with their perfect office to suit their business needs. This is a service that we are able to carry out for any type of business.
