We were delighted to attend the recent Clerkenwell Design Week; an annual trade show that showcased the latest trends in office interiors in London. With furniture and the decor of an office fit out playing a massive part in the feelings experienced in the workplace, we always endeavour to ensure that we build up a knowledge of the latest trends within the industry, as well as make contact and build up relationships with some of the country's leading manufacturers of interior products.
Clerkenwell, located in the London Borough of Islington, is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile, than anywhere else in the world – ranking it as one of most important design hubs on the planet. Clerkenwell Design Week was created in order to celebrate this rich and diverse community, as it showcases some of the leading UK and international brands that are presented in a number of exhibitions, showrooms and other special installations that take place throughout the area.
2017 was the 8th year that the event had been held, firmly establishing it as the UK's foremost independent design festival. What's more, is that it continues to attract the international design community to this vibrant area for the full three days of events. Just to underline its success – almost 35,000 attendees flocked to the event in 2016, with over 300 exciting brands exhibiting their work.
With the attendee list ever growing, CDW will no doubt continue to grow in its influence upon the design community and in turn, office interiors in London and throughout the UK. The next Clerkenwell Design Week will take place on 22nd-24th May 2018.
