We are pleased to announce our appointment by two separate divisions of Akzo Nobel / ICI, to carry out fit out and refurbishment works for the sites at Milton Park in Oxfordshire and the Akzo head office in Slough Berkshire.

Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Akzo Nobel make and supply a wide range of paints, coatings and specialty chemicals - 2008 revenue totaled €15.4 bln.

The Milton Park project, some 6,000 sq ft, consists of all of the elements involved in a full fit out. One of the key points which had to be addressed was the space planning for some 50 people, broken down into various offices and operational teams.

From the very outset of the project being awarded, it was made clear that we will be working to a tight budget and timeline, both of which could not be changed. The design's were approved and agreed with corporate head office personnel and a start date of the 11th of January was set with a completion date of the 19th of February.

The Slough Office project was not as in-depth as Milton Park, but still consists of many elements of the Design & Build process. We were particularly pleased to be awarded this project, as it has shown that Oaktree and Akzo /ICI have a business relationship which stretches back for some 14 years, which tells us that we must be doing something right!
